America After MAGA

There is no America after MAGA.
Trump sold everything.
People, Cows, Ground, Air and Water.
Even the Cyberspace.
Buy STRUMPZ now! :aargh:

Recent events compel me to add to the list:
-purge the military of fascists.
They were actually somewhat decent at that and very good at gating the upper ranks, during the Bush and especially Obama years.

Today, Donald launched an ALLCAPS attack on Ali...

Notwithstanding the concomitant butchery (...), I can't help but appreciate the way he is currently diminishing the stature of world leaders (all of them in his wake)
Farcical eh?

The clock is ticking ⏱️
Society will undergo a drastic reconfiguration soon :scan:
It will be ugly 🥀
And beautiful 🌺

This may be an odd thread to start in light of the bleakness of the current moment, but the Allies began planning to occupy Germany in 1942. So, assuming that MAGA is defeated and is not in control of the American state on January 20th, 2029, what changes should be made to the Constitutional order to prevent a repeat of the second Trump term?

In broad outline, I propose:

-abolishing the Department of Homeland Security. Prosecutions of officers employed by DHS who violated the constitutional rights of persons under US jurisdiction under any previous administration. DHS functions deemed essential to be split up between other relevant departments and agencies.

-Constitutional amendment specifying that the President is liable for any criminal acts committed in office, regardless of whether the acts were "official" or not

-some means of checking the Supreme Court's power. Term limits, increased # of justices, perhaps allowing a supermajority in Congress to override a SCOTUS decision if it strikes down Congressional legislation

-The CECOT prison to be broken open and prisoners to be transferred to normal prisons or other kinds of rehabilitation facilities (or released) according to the facts of their specific case

- strengthening of anti-corruption laws, to include constititional amendments if necessary.

-constitutional amendment specifying that incorporation is a privilege designed to advance the public interest, not an unconditional right of individuals, and exempting corporate property from Bill of Rights protections that were only intended to protect personal property

My feeling on this (the OP/Thread topic) is that everything begins and depends, on a new, charismatic leader emerging to take Trump's place in the hearts of the voters and the media. They can be a hero, a villain, anti-hero, statesman/woman, charlatan, etc., but they Have.To.Be....cue the music:culture:

POPULAR... They've gotta be pop-UUUUU- LAR...

That is the only way any "moving on" to an "America after MAGA" is going to occur. It has to be replaced by something more popular.

What that is, or who that is going to be... I'm sure I don't know... AOC? Gavin Newsom? Jasmine Crockett? Josh Shapiro? Tom Hanks? It certainly ain't gonna be Bootyjudge, Kamala Harris, Gretchen Whitmer, Bernie or JB Pritzker.:nope:

Suddenly Living in America by James Brown starts playing in my head with Apollo Creed in his Uncle Sam costume dancing to rhythm.
I don't think AOC can pull this!

I was listening to CNN radio yesterday and they were going on about how voters could possibly have voted for both Trump and then for Mamdani, and how they would be interviewing voters on the subject in the next segment. I never heard the segment, because I got where I was going before it aired, but I didn't really need to hear the segment, because the answer seems obvious. Mamdani represents a rejection of the establishment, status-quo, just like Trump does to voters. Its really that simple at the foundation. The old-guard Democratic party leaders just keep pretending that they don't see it, because they don't want to see it... more specifically, they don't want to step aside from power.

America and its allies and clients are the biggests terrorists in the world, and it isn't close.
Uncle Sam used to show the world a respectable face.
Now it ain't any longer.
It says something.

It says a decision was taken to employ shock therapy.
On the American people (itself).
MZ style.

America after MAGA will be in convalescence.

The longer the therapy, the greater the effects :o

I thing is is indeed time to start contemplating a collapese of the US government under Trump.
Start the what if with a stock market and financial crisis. The dollar crashes, sudden high inflation due to massive dependence on imports. How will that play out politically with the current government? How may it react and what would be the consequences?

He probably remains president with reputation worse than Hoover.

‘I love Hitler’: Leaked messages expose Young Republicans’ racist chat

Thousands of private messages reveal young GOP leaders joking about gas chambers, slavery and rape.

NEW YORK — Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.

They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.
William Hendrix, the Kansas Young Republicans’ vice chair, used the words “n--ga” and “n--guh,” variations of a racial slur, more than a dozen times in the chat. Bobby Walker, the vice chair of the New York State Young Republicans at the time, referred to rape as “epic.” Peter Giunta, who at the time was chair of the same organization, wrote in a message sent in June that “everyone that votes no is going to the gas chamber.”

Giunta was referring to an upcoming vote on whether he should become chair of the Young Republican National Federation, the GOP’s 15,000-member political organization for Republicans between 18 and 40 years old. “Im going to create some of the greatest physiological torture methods known to man. We only want true believers,” he continued.

Two members of the chat responded.
