Hamachi troubleshooting

Okay, so now me and my friend got hamachi to work, see eachother in hamachi, can ping eachother, yet if either of us starts a game in the multiplayer-LAN-game lobby, the other is unable to see and join the game.

Anyone any suggestions what might be the problem?? Im running windows 7, my friend runs vista.

PS. Tonight we'll try and see if a direct ip through hamachi might work...

Ok Direct IP through hamachi works!!!

i would suggest to try neorouter. hamachi turned ugly after they were bought.

what annoyed me with hamachi is that you must connect to their damn remote server. with neorouter my computer is the server other people connect to.

The easiest way is using tunngle. I play my MP using that little handy program, and not only for civ but many other games.
