Hannibal Barca vs. Alexander the Great...who would win?

This is a hard struggle. I'm now referring a conversation between Scipio and Hannibal, the night before the battle of Zama, 202 BC.

Scipio: Hannibal, quis maiorem imperatorem historiae orbis putas?
Hannibal: Alexander Magnus. Secundus ist Pyrrhus.
Scipio: Et tertius?
Hannibal: Ego. Sed, si vincam, primus ero.

Scipio: Hannibal, who do you think to be the greatest War chieftain of the whole history?
Hannibal: Alexander the Great. The second is Pyrrhus.
Scipio: And the third one?
Hannibal: Me. But, if I'll win, I'll be the first one.

I believe he was talking to Scipio years after Zama. He said:

Scipio- "Who do you think is the greatest general of all time?"

Hannibal- "Since I could not beat you, Alexander of Macedon."

Scipio- "And if you had beaten me?"

Hannibal- "Then I would be the greatest general." :crazyeye:

^^ say, how bout' you do a scenerio that involves these two. What do you say? :king: It would surely be a great idea!

There's the original Rise of Rome conquest already. Maybe the better, it starts in 350 BC and there are ATG and Hannibal as Leaders of Macedony and Carthage.

true, I'm new to this game however, do they Julius Ceaser there?

Total War: Rome should enable us to pitch Alexander against Hannibal. Once the game is out we should set up a standard army size for each and then choose a common terrain and have a tournament.

eh, i think that Alexander wouldn't fit in the timeline though. It is after all ROME: Total War.
