Dschinghis Khan the equivalent of Rick Astley? Man, don't compare the great Rick with this bunch of freaks. BTW, how would you explain that lots of old german people still dance Dschinghis Khan's Moskau in their crappy retro discos 30 years after it was released? I can't find an explanation for this german social phenomenon.

I know you meant it that way . The first and second sentence of my post were completely unrelated.
It´s just that the Dschingis vid is posted nearly as much as Rick in some "German" parts of the web. It´s an equivalent in terms of...don´t know a proper word... viral potential. It is something everybody knows for whatever reason. And noone can possibly explain why these people are so damn "famous". It´s one of the unsolved mysteries of the universe.

Da dieser Faden gewidmet zu Godwynn ist, ich schalge vor, nur Deutsch zu sprechen. Wir müssen ja eine Übersetzung in Spoilers für die Moderatoren hinzufügen. Stimmt das oder?

Ich meinte, wieso so vielen alten Deutsche tanzen immer noch Dschinghis Khan in ihren Retroparties? Das ist etwas, dass ich noch nicht erklären kann. Wenn man das mir vor meinem einjährigen Aufenthalt in Deutschland gesagt hätte, hätte ich gedacht, dass er Witz machte. Ein Jahr später habe ich erfunden, dass die Deutsche das kitschste Volk der Erde sind.
