Has anyone seen Bermuda Triangle close enough to land to work the tiles?

Yikes there's 2 active threads on this atm!

From last October, the furthest I took this game. Kupe/Terra with Apocalypse, SS, Dramatic ages and tech shuffle. Pretty sure I chose this setup just to find and settle the Triangle first, if possible. I suspect I abandoned it because it was only an experiment anyway.

Between the 2 cities that can access it we have 9/12 tiles workable, including 4 of the six +10Science tiles.

Bermuda seems to appear in every other game for me...
Huh, I've never even seen it in any of my games so far...

I wonder - using the natural wonders picker, can you force it to be in the mix, and then play on a map with not much sea?
Dunno, but I dont think you can force it. You can have it in the pool, but if there us nowhere for it to spawn, then I'm guessing it won't.

Perhaps it's sad that I never knew this existed in the game. I have never once encountered the Bermuda Triangle in the game. Despite usually complete ocean exploration in my games.

Do you have the Maya + Gran Colombia DLC? It's part of that content (along with Paititi and the Fountain of Youth).

I strictly play on Huge Continents with everything on standard with no mods (4,555.7hrs); as it can only spawn on ocean having lots of islands is a bad idea as it spawns coast around islands and other land masses meaning less ocean for it to spawn on. But I still stand true to it being in "every other game" of mine.

I have gotten it and it was in reach of a second city or 4 moves with your initial settler. I tried to make it work twice but the science is only really powerful early. Problem is production is more powerful. Not as overpowered as I would have thought on the map it spawned on for me.

I guess it's super powerful very early for a second city, it cannot be for your capital stopping settlers

Found this in my current game as Portugal. It's not a spot I would normally settle, but I have to do this just for the sake of having done it.

Liking this because based on what I have seen so far with Portugal is you'll be just fine with a city there...campus, harbor and waterpark are all you need. I thought Mansa had obscene gold but Joao III is a quantum leap above that.

Nice! But what's that font on the city's name?
I'm using Montserrat Alternates.

EDIT:
Inland Sea
Huge map, 11 Civs (default) + me, 18 City-states
All DLC
Monopolies + Corporations mode on
All victory conditions on
Map seed: 1127089
Game seed: 4535699
I think I had turned natural disasters down to 1 for this game (I don't think it affects placements anyway).

Civs (as above, given the new start biases, this may affect placement of start units):
