Has anyone seen Bermuda Triangle close enough to land to work the tiles?

Try World Builder. If it works for you that is. :P

The best I got was this so far:

I'm more interesting in knowing which map script did you use to generate that beautiful spiralish map.

Request @firaxis: Make Spiral Map scripts a thing. :p

Edit: Forgot this was about the Bermuda Triangle. I once saw it within AI's borders and within workable range of a city centre. But I usually turn it off anyway.

Try a map with low water setting on something like lakes map or primordial map and bermuda selected. I guess you will have a higher chance for bermuda to be near settleable location able to work it. I remember I saw (probably in the screenshot thread?) where someone could work a couple of tiles of Bermuda.

Thanks all for the tips!

I found the thread with Bermuda close enough to be workable ( 1 screenshot and 2 links to reddit with screenshots):

Woups ! Sorry for the double thread!

Offtopic .... but what map script you used for that map. Looks fantastic.

 actually I started all the way top, so I can't even reach the inside ocean easily (Bermuda sometimes send me there, not always).

I selected huge shuffle:

There is a save here if you want https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/how-to-put-some-fun-back-into-that-game.668414/
I'm only keeping 100 autosaves (changing that now) so sorry I don't have turn 1 anymore.

Do you have access to the seed number? Doesn't using the same seed regenerate the same map?

I don't have the seed either, but if someone knows how to extract a map from a save game, then I guess you can play it.

Or just if you know how to extract the seed.

I have shared this screenshot before, but I had this game where Harald decided that settling and working Bermuda Triangle would make game too easy and boring:
By the time you discovered that city, those tiles would not matter so much given how much science you have per turn. But imagine to have that at the start.

I've seen a couple that I could work if I wasn't too lazy to steal them from the AI who actually started near them... never got one myself naturally, without really engineering the situation via worldbuilder or being kupe and screwing around with map size and the natural wonder picker

I periodically delete all my save games, I'm 99% sure I had a city working 3 edge hexes in a game before Babylon was released. I couldn't find it in my current saves though.

Once. I had the bermuda triangle show up on an inland sea map where 1 tile was in range of a potential city... Which I didn't build. It was the silliest bermuda triangle ever because of the map type though

I wonder if you can use the "wonder picker" option to include the Bermuda Triangle in a Highlands map. Or is that just completely loopy.

Bermuda seems to appear in every other game for me and even when unworkable, I enjoy having it in the game because of the teleportation and movement, a nice quirk (and it's nice to have more wonders you get stuff from but don't have to own, like Giant's Causeway, Matterhorn, Fountain of Youth and Lysefjord).

This was the first time I had a workable BT (I was friends with England for so long, then became the surzerain of Lisbon and saw it. I then declared war, razed the city that was there and replaced to work as many of the times as possible.)

I have also had a game as Babylon where I started right next to Bermuda which would of yeilded me 40 workable science, but I never continued that game:

There was also a multiplayer game where I found it and 1-2 tiles were workable. I'm trying to find the save for a screenshot...

I wonder - using the natural wonders picker, can you force it to be in the mix, and then play on a map with not much sea?

Indeed the only time I have seen it is when I used the Wonder Picker to force it, keeping in mind that the number or NW's on a map are the same as the number of religions.

I did work tiles on it once I think I even had 2 city sites close enough I will look for a save....pretty sure it was a Terra map which can make some weird edges along one coast, like the whole landmass got dragged east or west and left streaks of horizontal, 1-tile wide islands and peninsulas. IF the Bermuda Triangle spawns close to something like that it can be very accessible.

Otherwise a splintered fractal with low sea levels?
