Hatshepsut fan club?

They made Catherine the way she was for a reason. Wha with all the feminine traits. Heck she loved me when I was Bismark!
Yet she hates me now that I'm Napolean

Isabella? Eh, she's just another Spaniard.

Cmon people they're just a combination of executions, splines, leatherheads, and an automated relations. :scan: :scan: :scan:

I'm definitely glad Hatshepsut is in my game. I'm pretty sure she'll sign a permanent alliance when I ask. (Have to pick the right moment!)

Also, everybody else seems to be taking it in turns to attack me. Hatshepsut is loyally fighting by my side... well, at least she's cheering me on and letting me use her roads.

WHY WON'T THIS TREAD DIE??? Oh well, I play as Catherine the great, so, I've yet to know the hell she says, but goddamnit, is it just me or is Isabella PMSing?

I thought this was a thread about the benefits of playing as the Egyptians... which is one of my favourite civs to play as.

You guys should get out more! ;)

I haven't had nearly as much luck with War Chariot rushes as I have with, say, Quechua rushes. First, you have to find a source of Horses, which is fairly dodgy. And by the time you get this connected, and produce a few, they really aren't that great, particularly if the enemy has pikemen.

with the egyptians the easiest way of winning is cultural especially if you get an early religion.

when i'm playing i kind of get to the pre industrial age and go "oh bugger i forgot to work on the military!"

War Chariots against Pikemen? If this is the case , then unless you have 30 cities and the AI has 5 , then well you're losing :)

Vs spearperson, the war chariot hasnt a chance yeah. But if I'm rushing with Egypt, I allways cut off the copper/iron resource first.

In multiplayer, people rarely build spearpersons . Or you are Greece.

Even against spearman charriots are not so bad if you

a) attack them ( instead of beeing attacked by them )

and

b) use ( both ) retreat promotions

This way most charriots survive. I usually use stacks of 15 chariots for a chariot rush and most time only loose 3 to 5 chariots against cities ( even capitals )

this is not too expensive IMO since you loose only a few cheap chariots and he looses a city ( or even the capital )

Edit : but I still avoid cities on hills with spearman

Just out of curiousity, what strategy (or strategies) do you find that the Egyptians are good for?

The Spiro trait (no revolution) is great. Not having to cop anarchy for a few turns is a real benefit.
I haven't been in a game in CIV4 where I have been able to use the chariots to their fullest potential other than as an early scout, but in CIV3 I played a few games where I was able to have a very early war with them and take out some opponents early on.

Where is the Hatshepsut fan club? She is HOT. (As near as I can tell, are Egyptian girls are--including the long-dead artificial digital ones!) In my present game, I'm working on upping our relationship from "Friendly" to "Romatically Involved." I think Plastics, a few ICBMs, and the rest of my gold should do it...

I think seducing Hatshepsut should be a victory condition...

Seriously, get out more :)
