That's what AAA is for, so I don't have to change the tire. I don't change my own oil either, that's what jiffy lube is for. I don't build computer either. Microsoft is more than happy to keep your word processor updated for you. Never got the "out of sync" error using 3.13.
I buy my vanilla beans and milk at the store, that's what it's for.
Maybe that 90%, and I think that's an incredibly high estimate, need to get someone to install that patch for them. If you are playing games on a computer it is no longer a tool but just an expensive toy.
Speaking of pompous attitudes did you read your own post?
Oh yes, I reviewed it. Fire with fire seemed appropriate, since you didn't spare on the derision in your first demeaning post.
Don't bother attacking the specific cases. We'll end up in an endless "ok, then look at this case" and you'll say "Oh, but this organization fixes this for me!" I suppose if your car breaks down on vacation, it's just an expensive toy rather than a functional tool, and therefore you should be expected to fix it rather than calling AAA? Of if you're adding that vanilla to a dessert rather than a necessary food stuff, it then becomes a luxury (IE - analogous to toy) and therefore you shouldn't be able to buy it at the store? Come on, just because a computer is used as a toy, there is no reason other than the view you have from a high horse to tell someone they should consider not using a computer.
Computers are tools, and like many other everyday tools, two things are true of them. A majority of their users don't know how the nuts and bolts work, and there are trained professionals who do that handle those nuts and bolts. In many of those cases, a third group of snobs sit there and say "ho ho ho! Look at all those idiots who don't know how to perform action X - they're so dull, they shouldn't even be allowed to use the item!" Your first post strongly suggest you land firmly in that third group.
Bottom line, every day millions of intelligent, capable people use tools for work and leisure. Many, many others upkeep those items. This is a norm of society. Why suggest "they should probably box that computer back up and sell it" just because they don't know the nuts and bolts of its workings in this case? Again, get over yourself.
