Have you ever lost!

I've lost a lot, I think everyone has. It usually seems to be when you get into wars that you don't want to get in to and the AIs sign alliances against you and MPPs with each other. Even if you get peace with another, when you remove another from your territory the first one you had peace with attacks you.

I've not lost many, but sadly I've given up on many games.

The only loss I can remember went like this:
-I eliminated every other civ except for two others, and covered half the planet
-I built the United Nations, thinking this would guarantee my victory
-I caled elections; The two remaining civs both voted for the same one of them, and so I lost-I never built the UN again :)

I don't feel like starting flame war today so don't try to bait me.

Yeah, I'd be very interested to see how you'd argue that quitting isn't losing and throw in some personal abuse :p

I've lost many times over the years on all versions, but I've definitely won more than lost. The most recent loss I can remember was a time limit loss. I was the Dutch vs the Japanese and just as we wiped out the last remaining other civ the last 20 turns counter appeared and he was a good 200 points ahead of me on points. No matter what I did I just couldn't claw my way back even though I bettered them at nearly everything.

Oh well. That was a good WEEK wasted! :)

I bet I have lost many more games than I've won. Quitted games included.

Hmm, I have lost some (maybe two?) and won one game. But I usually don't play to the end, I usually stop playing in the industrial age. I think I've never played in the modern age except in sg's. hmm, weird... Should change this some time, not? :D

I lose so many times I consider getting a second city founded a victory.
