Have you tried the Fantasy Realm map script yet? Thoughts?

I tried a little bit of it and i have to say its wierd.

The resources and terrain make no sense.
Theres tropical fruit growing in tundra squares and vineyards in deserts for example. I think the map is kind of fun though still.

I wish I can kill some elves and beat some dwarves while befriending the orcs
But noooo... there're none
It's just a map with tiles and resources absolutely dislocated

It sounds awesome. I really like the nonsencical resource spread. In which direction does the circumnavigate bonus run?

I don't dare...

Anyway, I like Logical resources.
That way I could get non-sense looking maps (like in some fantasy setting), but still keep some level of sanity.

I found it a bit odd but only dabbled in it for a handful of turns.

The resource placement is....odd to say the least.

Seems like it will be fun once I get into a full game on one.

Don't like the fantasy maps, but I do like the idea of resources where they might not usually be found (within reason), somewhat like the Huge Ancient start Earth map....eg marble in flood plains , wheat in hills..

Does anyone know of a mod that does this?, (but changes nothing) else..cos i haven't found one yet...
