Having a hard time on Deity

Did Pachi never dow you? In my game he was coveting my land all game, but I couldn't distract him because he was isolated and I was his only neighbour - yet it's hard to get rid of him due to the narrow choke. I couldn't keep him in check while fighting Korea.

He was friendly pretty much all game, wherea Korea was a total dick. Pretty much the opposite of what I expected.

Oh, and I MIGHT have camped a Warrior at the choke point to block his settling attempts since civilian units couldn't get through. :mischief: This is the only way I intentionally meas with the AI because the AI does it to us ALL THE TIME and turnabout is fair play. :D

So yeah, I was playing Deity Challenge #10 and forgot I had this game going so I overwrote the frickin' saves(I really should name my saves better than Maya1, Maya2 etc......) so I ended up starting this ugly map a second time :(

Anyway, Monty went insane and wiped out the Celts and the Mongols. Meanwhile Sejong was a dick again so I counterpushed him with Composites; pretty much what I did the first time! Anyway I built a bunch of Fritages and turns out the ocean to the east of the capital is a friggin' GIANT LAKE. Still I decided to attack Pachacuti and farm some Frigate experience while I waited on Electronics. I pushed hard through the tree and popped Electronics with Oxford for Battlehips, which are like reason #512 I don't play water maps.

It's funny what happens when the AI wonderspams on a Small (ugly) map:

Cusco was hilarious because I took it, he retook it because I didn't notice his Lancer, Monty took it, he retook it, then I finally took it again. It ended up with like 0 buildings, 1 pop and just Wonders

Monty is a pretty sizable runaway, but I'm right on pace with him in technology + I have 2 GSes sitting around, two more coming soon, the Rationalism finisher, and probably Hubble, so I could probably cruise to Science pretty easily. I'm really just exhausted after fighting the Incans, though, I dunno if I'm gonna finish lol. I have other things to do.

Oh, did I mention this map was ugly?

That made all the difference I think.

Yea, Korea was expanding into me all game. I am pretty sure I could fight him off, but I couldn't handle Pachi backstabbing me.
