Heart of Destiny

You have to put all the files where they belong. Its looking for the advisors pics, you need to unzip the leaderhead and follow Civ's instructions, only the installation path should go into the new Far Horizons foldier(DELETE THE OLD MOD), and yes, Far Horizons is the foldier name. :crazyeye:

ok installed it to senerios and it produced the art and text folders. then i downloaded and installed the new big file. then i did beta patch putting the pedialicons in the text folder and the other in the flics folder. i downloaded the soiux file unziped it and put it in the flic folder. i didnt see a pcx file in the soiux folder and that is what it is looking for right now. maybe i can disable the souix civ to bypass this problem

well i got the Sioux working and am playing the game with them in it. id still rather be playing carthage lol. oh well cant have it all. some interesting choices for Civs in this game. love the new terain graphics much brighter and more alive.

i dont think its a good idea to have to reserch a tech before you can have settlers, especially when the tech is in the second tier. the americans get a huge advantage here as they can skip the settler and go right to pioneer, which the settler is suppose to upgrade to, faster than any one else can get settler so they will spread out faster. the pioneer might be given to all expansionist civs to help even it out. i havent seen any barbarians yet which is good cause it takes time to get to a defense unit. also curious why some civs start with the wheel, a second tier tech, even though they have to go back to get domestication before they build chariots and shouldnt the regular chariot be in wheel and the special civ ones under chariot since its not a required tech but the wheel is. i like how the filler tech like pilosophy actually can award you something now thats very cool. well i just got started playing so i off to enjoy more of it ;)

Hey guys, sorry, i just started college so ive been pretty busy and ill have less time (if any) to mod and play civ3, but ill still try to answer questionsand ill work on it when i go homefor holidays

the crusading order in its discription is listed under chivalry but in the tech tree has its own spot called crusading order. if you click on the crusading order tech you get a CTD

I know, I have to fix the civilipedia, it has some stuff I wrote that is no longer releviant.

The Pioneer is the Americans advantage, makes the US a tough opponent, and a metioric riser, just as in RL. ;)

I'm glad you like it so far Greywolfe. I may upload another patch soon, which will include a new biq and two new units, my Incan cut and paste stuff. Maybe we could play multiplayer Heast of Destiny toghether?

Coltrane: I'm sorry to hear that, hopefully you can get some more time in soon. How much have you got done? Once you are done, I can get to work on adding in a new concept that R8XFT and Bjorn discussed with me: Civ Specific techs! That way, we can have Muslim civs building mosques, mesoamericans building sacrificial altars, Japan building shrines etc. Plus Unique wonders!

I've really loved this mod so far, but I had a really annoying load error that caused the game to crash twice. My computer won't let me take screen shots, so here's what it said:

Load Error

File Not Found

"Art\tech chooser\Icons\09-chivalry-large.pcx"

This game will now exit.

This happened once when I tried to click on the tech in the Civlopedia, and once when I was just finnished researching it. Just wanted to report this so you can get to it in the next patch. Good luck, and I really hope you can release the next patch soon.

Doesnt have to be. Chivarly is part of the main civ3 game. As long as the Chivalry icon in the main game's tech chooser foldier is there, it should work. The game looks in my mod's foldier first for files, and then in conquests, ptw, and civ3 vanilla. Alittle mod trivia there.. ;)

Dont. I think the problem is that your Chivalry icon has a different name than mine. On my computer, its called 09-Chivalry2-large.pcx. That is also the file the pediaicons is looking for. Its a problem with Civ3 version differences. Make sure you have the lastest Conquests patch. And make sure you've installed all the files I posted for the mod, including the patch, the biq, and the new pediaicons.
