Whom ever tis concerns i need help
my computer installs civIV but any game i play i only see the unit and resource but i would like to play while i see the terrain please help me
my computer specs are
3000+amd athlon processer
160 gig of hard drive
windows XP
512 ddr sdram
NVIDIA Geforce4 MX Graphics card
Do i need a new computer or graphics card or what if i do it will be a good couple months for me to get it

you should take the time to look around in this forum - there are many threads asking similar questions, with answers.

i CAN tell you that a 5 year old graphics card like the gforce4 mx is not really good enough for civ4.

A few poeple here had the same problems and solved them with a driver update

I had the same type of problem. I could see the units, but not the board. I could only see the eyes and teeth of the main characters too. For me it was my graphics card. I had a Intel Graphics Extreme 2 card built in on the Dell unit. I read up on it and discovered it only used between 32-64meg. I put in a better card and tweaked some of the settings and have not had a problem since with the graphics.
