HELP ME PICK THREE PORTRAITS!!!!l

It is not that Fifty doesn't have the interest in coming up with portraits himself, in fact on Fiftychat he was coming up with quite a few ideas.

But there are plenty of reasons that such activity would result in better selection:
Smart as Fifty is, other people can still have insights that wouldn't normally occur to him.
Having an item picked by someone else reminds you of that person, and that makes the experience a little richer. Things we receive as thoughtful gifts often are more treasured than things we make on our own.

no clue as to what fiftychat might be but I'll take your word for it.

I was not even doubting that the selection would be "better" by whatever the standards applied might be. I was merely saying that it would not result in a "personal touch" and hence would be pretentious.

I could argue for some elligible persons, to pick one at random let's say W. Churchill. I could even argue for it. if there is such a thing as logic and reasoning to this I might even win the argument or not. dear OP puts said portrait wherever he puts it and what does that say? worst case scenario he picked something that, somewhat, refclects upon him irl due to something some random guy on the internet thought would be fancy if he were the type to hang portraits...

then again, who cares? hanging portraits is, unless you have been elected to a public office, just the next step up from displaying Duran Duran posters on your wall. and I have done that in my youth so who am I to cast a stone?

Well to be honest I agree there are cooler ideas out there - for instance, something I'm planning to work out myself in some eventuality, but could easily work out for the deep relationship between fifty and Perfection as well: Take a fisheye lens shot of each person's local, preferably the room where the final posters are to be hung. Then, insert this into a poster bounded by the blue and orange Portal borders I'm sure we're all familiar with. You'll always be thinking of each other with dizzying feelings

And Re: fiftychat, I believe this may help inform you:

not really interested in any meta-forum thingies, thanks, though :)

How about some portraits of not-famous people? If you don't know anything about them, they can't have annoying personal characteristics that would bother you.

i think these suit you perfectly

aye, thanks again. I garnered that, cheezy :)

I don't use IRC unless I am setting up groups or games. as far as I am concerned only thing that matters is written here in these boards as far as cfc is concerned.

I painted this portrait myself.

No offense, but that would be a very surrealist statement for fifty to make, which could be kinda cool I guess.

Spoiler :
In other words, who else sees a red x?

I recommend a photographic portrait of someone unknown and random for whom you make an elaborate backstory, portraying them as a person with revolutionary and insightful ideas; someone you idolise, and on whose behalf you feel rather offended when they are not recognised in person.
