this could be a dumb question, but i have 256 ram on my laptop with no other spaces open.....And i want to put 1gb of ram, but since it is a laptop i dont where to buy and how to do it....so if any one could help, that would be great

You would have to send it back to the company I belive.

You'll almost definetly have to buy the ram through the OEM that made your laptop. I think most warranty policies should still allow you to install it yourself, if not obviously you'll have to ship it back to them.

This is assuming that your laptop will support 1GB RAM. It may not, depending on the age.
