Help me remember this game

I think it came out in 2000ish, but I remember that when it was coming out the company that made it was going bankrupt to the point to where they had to sell add space in the game to have the money to finish it, it was an RPG also and its bugging the crap out of me.

Wait, they sold ... space for adds in the game ? I dont remember seing any of that in the game. Maybe they just tried to sell it and no one bought.

When you exited the game, there would be adds, but I cant remember for what though.

Oh yea- now i remember. (i was thinking about in the game) There were adds to a computer of some obscure firm.
