I'm afraid my mind will explode.

:scared:

I'm holidaying on the other side of the world, and I log on to msn messenger and get a message telling me I have been logged off because I was already logged on somewhere else (though I am clearly logged on at my current location).

I think I have been robbed.

Because when I turn on my computer at home (my home being currently on the other side of the world), I get logged on to msn automatically. I'm thinking someone turned my computer on.

Do you think my house has been broken into, and my computer stolen?

What should I do? What would you do? Could there be any other explanation for the msn message about me being logged on elsewhere?

Please help!

Is there a neighbor or friend you can call that can go by and check on your house for you?

I'm thinking it's the dodgy neighbour who's done the breaking-in.

And at least for a while I've got no one who can go check.

Is that possible to explain situation to police and ask them to check your house isn't robbed?

Don't know. I'm renting, so I might alert the real estate agent, have them send someone over...

May be good idea too. I think you better start acting, it will distract you a bit from your worried state.
Wish you happy end to this trouble.

Are you sure you did not log on MSN somewhere else? Like at a friend's computer ?
I have MSN installed on my laptop, the office and my home.
If someone from the office switch my computer on at the office (during my day off for instance), and I'm on MSN at home, the office computer will auto start MSN, and I will be disconnected at home.

Moderator Action: Call a relative to check on your house, warning him to call the police in case he sees signs of invasion. If you don't have a nearby relative, call the police directly.

Question answered. Now, I'll close the thread, as personal ones are against forum rules.
