Help with steam

I created a Steam account logged out and installed Steam. When I tried to log in on the Steam site and using Steam it told me that the login was incorrect. I tried multiple times with varying passwords, but I got the same result. So I tried retrieving it, but the only thing I accomplished was filling my inbox. I coped the verification code to the appropriate box, answered the question, and typed in a new password, but it said that the password couldn't be changed. I repeated this with different passwords, but none worked.

I would advice you to contact the steam support, because it seems to be a failure on their side .
