Help with unique crash!

Civ5 is playable for me with Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver.

The RAM is 2gig so I decided to buy a Ram upgrade of 2gig.

After I installed the new ram, Civ5 crashed when I load.

How odd!

What is even more strange is that when I remove the ram upgrade, Civ5 will run.

I'm guessing it is to do with the laptop specs and how the intel graphics works with the ram but does anyone have a proper explanation and solution.

I'm sure someone out there can help

probably faulty ram

you can test by replacing the old ram with the new

if fail/crash, then ram spoiled

if not, probably your laptop/os setting

Anything else crashing?

It might be, that the mainboard doesn't support that amount of RAM.

nothing else crashes.

manual says the laptop can handle 8gig so i don't think it is that.

is there anywhere in the settings that i can tweak?
