Help!

Hi,
Can someone help me with some information of the Gateway Arch for a speech tomorrow? I have to write an essay right now and I have no time to search for this, I only knew that it was located in St. Louis, Missouri, it's the tallest monument in the world, commemorating the westward expansion, and was designed by Eero Saarinen. Can someone help?Please use somewhat more descriptive thread titles in furture. Lefty

Well, IIRC, it's as tall as it is wide. And it's shaped like an arch!

Other than that, I don't know too much about it.I'm sure there's more information on it if you searched some of the encyclopedias or things like that on the Internet.

There are sets of elevators to get you to the top. They are staggered obviously since it is an arch.

It is VERY narrow at the top, as in a sardine can. No elbow room among tourists.

Ahh the gateway arch. I've driven by it many a time. It is made of metal, and it is in St. Loius. It's also REALLY REALLY BIG. You can go up in it by elevator also. But that's about all I can tell you about it. Kinda hard to notice anything else while driving down the freeway at 70 mph.
