Hermetic Lore for FFH DI5

How can I check what techs a civ has (without being able to trade)??

If you go into World Builder, you could select the player edit button (the one you use for adding units) and then the technology tab. This will show you what techs a particular CIV already has. It's also where you'd go if gifting a tech.

I could run the game and check - I know the civs got mysticism at turn 30 because they converted to god king.

How can I check what techs a civ has (without being able to trade)??

Thanks, that'd be very helpful if you could tell me how many AIs reach Mysticism and how many Knowledge of the Ether. I am on a very tight schedule myself at the moment and will need to leave in half an hour, so that's when I'll make my post at the latest.

Thanks. But did any have it at turn 50? (If you can't remember, you can load an autosave as close to that point as possible to check)

EDIT: Ah, thanks. Two or three AI civs completing my quest seems a good number. I'll post the save and the story; is it correct that I'm the last God to make an edit this segment and that I give him the go-ahead to get the save?

@Apenpaap
Thanks for taking the time to position the bones and the well.

Trouble in "Paradise"
Spoiler :

I've another plot line suggestion. This one would be after the Mega Plot. I'm not sure how many turns DI games last or if this game in particular will last long enough but here's the basic idea.

Esus gets the souls of deceivers but he also gets the souls of those who try to escape from the other Hells. He covers up Sirona's angels' actions in Hell as their partial successes gift souls to him. Having observed Sirona's activities in Hell, he decides to speed the process up to get more souls into Shadowfel. He sends some of his angels into the Vaults of the other fallen Gods, masquerading as Sirona's angels (using whatever disguise Sirona's angels use).
These offer to help souls find redemption but over time show them all the (false) reasons why they could never deserve or get it. Esus seeks to ensure the damnation of those souls who were most likely to escape hell through redemption but is really pilfering souls from the other hells.
If Esus suspected that his activities in hell were going to be discovered, it would give him a reason to try to increase Empyrean and Order worship a bit on Erebus as these are natural enemies of Ashen Veil.
Whichever evil God discovers what Esus is up to may challenge him and not fall for the,"I'm only doing it to stop the souls Sirona would redeem from escaping". To get Esus to behave, the other Evil Gods punish him through his worshippers on Erebus - queue religious war between Ashen Veil and CoE.
If infernals have been summoned, this war will probably give them a big boost.
The good guys might take advantage of this squabbling on the Evil side.
At the end of it, all worship of Esus should be back underground with no state having it as their state religion. Maybe the CoE founding city gets razed.
Esus "accepts" his punishment, says he's learned his lesson and gets back with the Evil program.

How would it work?
At some stage, Elder Methyl tells a story about Siasul or another angel of Sirona trying to lead souls to redemption from hell.
Later on I do a story copying the first paragraphs exactly from Elder Methyl before leading the poor soul down the, "you're not worthy of redemption" path.
Esus may take actions within the game to encourage Order and Empyrean, e.g. Pushing for Empyrean as the state religion for Kuriotates after the dispersal of the Witnesses.
Another Evil God does a confrontation with Esus story or a discussion between evil Gods about what to do about Esus story. - All Ashen Veil civs declare war on CoE civs (or dogpile the CIV with the CoE founding religion).

How does it effect Verdian and the Kuriotates?
If they're Ashen Veil, they get a quest to destroy the CoE city.
If they're CoE, they get a quest to defend the CoE city.
If Order, they might have a quest focussing on combatting all the infernals that the war is going to spawn.
If Empyrean, Lugus might propose joining the war on one of the sides, bringing an unusual alliance into the game.

Obviously, triggering off this religious war should wait til after the Mega Plot war ends.

Any thoughts?

On an unrelated note, is anyone providing a settler on turn 50 or a means for Verdian to get one between turns 50 and 100?

@Bad_Player, how are you doing the Autoplay in the game to run your checks?

He could, but he also said he wasn't going to. He was going to leave it to the gods to gift him with settlers, which would be used to found a settlement dedicated to that god - which that god could say where it would be founded and have some measure of influence over.

I fixed Dagda's save and I added an archipaeligo near the Lanun for flavour but I don't think it's overpowered because half of it is tundra (but I added some fish and whales up north).

I also got rid of 1/2 amurite adepts because they expand so fast (I had made their spawn quite good tbh).

50 turns per intervention, remember. That means he's much more limited in when he can get one, plus he has to appease one or more gods enough for them to gift one to him.

Spoiler :

Allowing settlers to only be provided by the Gods is just a self imposed rule for the DI.
Each God can only give one settler and each God should try to persuade Dallarin to use that settler for a city rather than a settlement. The God's influence would be greater in cities/settlements found by their worshippers. So the Gods influence is maximised if their settler founds a city which develops a large population rather than a settlement with a small population. For the same reason, it's in the God's interest to get Dallarin to use his settler in the optimal locations.

Hi,

For Esus's next God turn, my plans are to;
* Reward civs that completed Esus's first quest
* Deal with any of Esus's map features that have been triggered
* Give Dallarin a Quest to develop Trade. Outlined idea further up in thread. May offer Great Merchant to the first 2-3 civs to get Trade as a carrot. May require Verdian to settle the merchant, similar to Ceridwen's Great Sage. Can we settle great people in cities of other civs using the world builder?
* Story to introduce the Hero that leads others to hell as part of the Mega Plot (see previous thread entry)
* Few stories from here and there on either Esus's corruption of Truth or children.
* Tamper with a few diplomacy values, Malakim/Svartalfar and maybe others.
* Giving the Svartalfar a Pagan (Esus) Temple in Thariss

For the Mega Plot hero, is using Morpheus as the name a bit too obvious?

Without any response from thegoatgod_pan (Mammon), should I go ahead with using a hero of Mammon as the one who will lead others back into hell?
