I have no idea now, seems already tried everything

by the way, is your civ5 upgrade to version 511? this mod will not work on lower version
and are you using an old XP system? there is known bug in XP

windows 7 ultimate
reinstalled civ 5
version 511

i guess your mod doesnt like me as much as i like it :p

can you attach a save file 1 turn before crash?

Sorry, I'm tech dumb, what am I sending you and how do I do it? by that I mean I know where to go to get error events, but where do I find the info you need for a turn before crash?

The site won't let me attach my save files because they are too big if that's what you're looking for.

Also having the game crash on me with Liu Bei so I installed the SDK to see if I can see what is going on. Just wanted to post that I was getting the TXT stuff in the setup of the game and I just removed the chinese portion in the ScenarioText.xml in the free for all scenario folder and seems to have done the trick. Not sure why since it was the only version of the file on the computer, but maybe that can give a hint as to what was wrong for some of us in that regard

for the crash problem, there is known bug in old XP system, and when some DLC missing, this mod will run with limited features and maybe not stable, and sometimes crash due to conflict other mods.

for the TXT problem, this mod support Chinese(need install a Chinese patch) and English Language, so it should display in English when you are using a language other then Chinese, but it seems Civ5 is not working this way, it display the Chinese TXT_KEY instead. You can also delete zh_cn.xml in XML\NewText folder.
 
I ran two games for a while fine, what is weird is when it crashes if will crash as soon as I load an autosave... tried a few.
I'm windows 7 btw, not XP. I tried running Fire Tuner and it doesn't report an error that I can see, but I'm no expert on that, seems a bit complicated
I'll eventually likely get the expansions :)

The workaround I have in place now to load my saved game is to start a new game and load my saved game from WITHIN the game, seems to work. Before when trying to load from main menu it would crash to desktop while loading...

EDIT: Forgot to mention to make a local copy of your saves for the autosaves since a new game overwrites them

Thanks for the reply, I think I figure out the problem

this mod handle the missing DLC problem by modify some art_define at game creation/start time, e.g., the 3d model of incan slinger will be replaced with a normal archer if inca DLC missing
This happen when you start a new game or after loading a game, but it seems the game already crash before loading complete
I'll see if I can modify it at the start of loading, the trouble is the loading UI can't be replaced, maybe I'll create a custom load UI in custom game entry

Before the bug fix, I think your work around is a best solution:)
 
does this mod use progress up the tech tree to modern technology? Cause in my opinion the tech tree shouldn't move past anything which wasn't around after the three kingdoms period. I want to play the civ version of dynasty warriors, not the dynasty warriors version of warhammer 40k, and airplanes dont fit the picture.

I think the modern techs are ok, since it is a mod of civ5, Caesar and Alexander can launch nuclear bomb and satellite, why can't Zhuge and Lv Bu drive Tanks and artillery.
Let these ancient civilization achieve future tech is just a fun of civ5.

And for other T3K games with a limited tech tree(like KOEI games), war is the only thing left. I personally like the civ5 way, where tech growth is equally important with war.
 
civ 5 update today and your mod not showing in steam workshop and I'm pretty sure the update seems to have messed with the unit graphics and perhaps some other stuff I can't put my finger on.
