Folks, I've just heard from Eric and he's been clobbered by one of the worst ice storms ever and is without power. This is just a FYI in case the turn should get to him quickly. Hopefully Tony got the save I sent him yesterday?

North Africa:
  • Italian forces consolidate after British bombing.
  • 14th Fighter Division strafes British troops outside of Tobruk, and the 2nd New Zealand Infantry suffers 1 dmg (4/4-3/4). No enemy fighters spotted. The Tactical Bomb Group bombs the British Cruiser CLAA Euryalus for 2 dmg. (3/3-1/3).
  • DD Sulla engages the British DD Carlyle and scores no hits, but is sunk in turn. (DD Sulla 3/3 vs DD Carlyle 3/3=DD Carlyle 4/4).
  • Axis air forces strike Malta. JG3 opens the assault and destroys the barracks. JG53 follows but causes no damage. 606 Gruppe dive bombs the island does 2 damage to an unknown fighter (possibly 16 Fighter Group) 4/4-2/4. 11th SA attacks the Malta airfields and catches the 15 Coastal Command Dive bomber unit on the ground, destroying it. (15 Coastal Command 3/3-0/3).
Russia:
  • Minor Axis forces advance to support the German attack.
  • Romanian air forces bomb Rostov. The Romanian fighters do one damage to the Russian 57th Army, and the bombers do 1 more. (57th Army 4/4-2/4).

Churchill is not pleased with Malta's Defensive posture and orders a change of command on the island....:mad:
 
CH....nothing personal but I hate NATURE!

Anyhow..We may have to wait on Eric taking his full 48 hours if his power is not restored due to the ice storm. If he doesn't get back online then one of his partners will need to play the Japanese turn. But hopefully he gets back online okay.

Wow Classic that is fast service, the save was resent right, away all is good in the "Axis of Evil" now thanks to Classic's fast turnaround.

Ok now for a non game question for anyone who is watching the thread...I think its time to try my hand with a newer version of Civ. Should I install Civ IV and its expansions or bypass IV and go directly to V and its expansion paks?
