I have heard positive things about both games, but haven't played either
The way I see it is that the ones more familiar with the entire series think CIV IV is superior, mostly because changes to CIV V are more drastic and get rid of that special "civ feeling" they have grown to love.

Never really played the epic game, but civ 4 scenario I tried always crashed

Berlin Germany:
The Great Leader Adolf Hitler returns from a Christmas break in Bavaria to find his Generals on the Eastern Front not very active and what action they did initiate did not provide any meaningful gains. Faced with failure and inactivity on the Eastern Front, Hitler goes into a rampage "I want more Russian territory in German hands, I want Moscow!"
After the meeting with Hitler a few key Field Marshals gather to discuss the situation. They all agree something must be done about the Great Leader and his ludicrous expectations. Germany is fighting on all fronts now with the Americans entering the war. In North Africa the situation is dire with the inability to resupply and reinforce the Afrika Korp.
On the Western Front the RAF has taken control of the skies around England and are extending air superiority into Western Europe. And worst of all Army Group North, Center and South are all over extended under supplied and exhausted, in desperate need of rest and shelter from the wicked Russian Winter. If something is not done soon all could be lost.

IIRC two U-Boats start the game in the S. Atlantic. The bigger question is: Why were you leading with the FTrans?

The bigger questions is how did the small MA Fleet in the Atlantic find and sink all the U-Boats in the area with such ease?
My hats off to you Sir for some fine shooting.
I just hope the CW and the USA don't have the same luck as the MA Atlantic Fleet
If that is the case all my U-Boats will be sunk this turn
And BTW where did a FTrans come from the MA don't have any of those to start with as far as I know?

Glad to see I'm getting under the skin of the Axis side. The answers are quite simple...some I'll share most I wont. Anyhow am back from my trip. Have a new laptop and haven't loaded Civ on it yet. I will play the CW tonight after supper and will forward. I hope Juriel continues to make it easy for me to pick off his UBoats! Sure do like those stacks of UBoats..........
Oh size does matter J!! Only problem is the MA Atlantic FLt isn't small.....it may seem like it to those who FIGHTS them small. Actually a pretty potent ASW Task Force as I'm fighting it!
