Hey everyone!

The History Game Canada is looking to add to it's team of modders for a Civ III project. The game itself is a historically accurate retelling of Canadian History with an emphasis on educating students. It is currently is broken into 3 different scanarios.

We are polishing the first scenario and are looking for more help with parts 2 and 3. General modders are welcome (we will talk), but we are also looking to fill in specific roles:

Writers, Translators (English to French), Editors
-There is extensive rewriting of the Civilopedia, with an emphasis on historical accuracy
-We will provide content (unless you know a lot about Canadian History!), you make it interesting
-Major points to people who can do all three, but any mix of the above skills is welcome

2D Artists (Concept and In-Game)
-Work will vary, email if interested and we will talk

3D Artists (Units)
-Major points if you can take a unit from concept to a finished animated product integrated in-game

Talented individuals who contribute will be credited (a major leg up if you are looking to get into the game industry doing what you love). Serious inquiries only, there is a time commitment, but we are flexible within reason.

If you are interested, please PM or email me at tyler@bitcasters.com with a sample of your work (link, attachment, etc.) and I'll be happy to offer more details.

Thanks!

-Tyler

There's a bunch of Canadian aircraft I have models for... ;)

If you need building icons and wondersplashes, I'll take a stab. :D

I'm willing to do techs, buildings, wonders or specialist citizens(although they'll be converted from Sims 2).

Maybe it would be worthwhile doing a "needed" list and then artists can create their art and link to it in this thread?

Hello Tyler,

I am interested in being involved. I have just emailed you, and hope to hear back from you. :)

Thanks,

Grandraem.

I remember aaglo doing some stuff for Era 1, but he never released the units over here. Maybe you could release these units (with aaglo's permission, of course) over here as a act of friendship?

Ares, I have also asked about releasing the units here, but haven't had an answer yet. Yeah, I think I´ll try to work with the project too :)

Georgestow: I'm quite sure, that they accept original work only - no conversions.

Ares/aaglo: If I can spare the time, I'll be more than happy to post his units assuming aaglo doesn't beat me to it ;). Just so I'm clear on CFC Forum etiquette, is there anything I should know about posting this work?

Aaglo/Georgestow: Yes, we would need original work contributed. Rips unfortunately violate copyright restrictions and is generally just a mean thing to do :P

Rob: Thanks for your suggestion, once we have a better idea what kind of work we need, I'll post more specific requirements either here or in a new thread :)

Others: While I appreciate your enthusiasm, if you would like to contribute I need a serious inquiry in the form of an email. If you can show a sample of your work in that email, it makes you look even more awesome. I just don't have the time to track each one of you down, initiate the conversation *and* hunt down your work. Help a brother out! :)

I could do pedia entries.

If you need to sample my work, just follow the link in my sig ("complete units"). Pick any of the later ones. I think they speak for themselves.

Anyway, so no much hunting is required on your part; it's all there.

I like your work Topgun, unfortunately, all of our scenarios take place before the wright brothers were born. Quite a collection you've done tho, impressive.

I'll keep you in mind if our future work involves aviation, I get the feeling you'd make a good consultant.

No problem. I'll be looking forward to your scenarios... good luck!

I am very excited to see a mod about Canadian history!
A bit of writing and translating.
I know quite a bit about Canadian history, being Canadian, but extra content wouldn't hurt.
I'm not perfect at written french, my translations would need a bit of editing, but I'm still up to that.

Ewanuk, best luck to you for the next part of a historically accurate retelling of Canadian History. Go Canada go! :)
