To be exact i first sent a byzantine-themed story there, then communicated with the chief-editor, then it got to the point where the story could be in the next issue, and finally was asked to revise it so as to include the last Byzantine Emperor instead of the last Nicaean empire (but not restored Byzantine) one.

So originally the story was somewhat centered on Ducas Vatatzes (last emperor of Nicaea before the restoration of the Byzantine Empire in 1262), but now would be about Constantine XI Palaiologos. (the link between the two would be prominently in this setting the character of a fable about a risen Byzantine Emperor in Constantinople, who would restore the Empire, etc. Locally the fable is termed "the King in marble"/The King turned to a marble statue).

In the end i decided to try to write a new story instead of revising the older one in this way.

While it does not mean the story will indeed be printed in that history magazine, it is quite interesting for me that if it is then it will be my first printed publication in a non-literary periodical (i have 25 printed stories in magazines of art).

So i would like to ask you if you have any suggestions for a byzantine theme. I have my own ideas, of course, although i am not set yet on one of them :)
