Holy Crusade

I knew that Visor was scum ever since I scanned him with two of the Reglia. But I couldn't tell anyone about that without putting myself in a predicament, hence the problem.

We won! :w00t: I was afraid Visor or BSmith was scum, so I suggested we reach the end!

Congratulations, brothers.

Town coordination finished it well at the end, didn't see a way they weren't going to make it.

Thanks for hosting Jarrema, know you didn't get the numbers or probably participation you wanted but the game got together well.

game was interesting to watch and I hope interesting to play. But it went very different that I wanted it to be, due to inactivity of some players. And it was thus harsh for some players, like Cardith Lorda, who could not be upgraded because his college lacked a leader, because none player voted for new one (and Cardith, as an initiate, could not vote for it)

I would try to count victory points for every role. Please check if it is correct for yours.

Roles:

Ninjacow
Spoiler :
Artifact thief
Faction: Himself (serial killer, kind of).
Abilities: You can attack at night and do 3 HP of damage. If your target has any items, you will learn about it. If he is killed by your attack or left at 0 HP, you steal his item(s).
You have 6 HP.
At the beginning of the game you must choose one of following abilities:
(a) your corruption is well hidden: as long as you do not have any evil artifact, you will scan as a good person;
(b) your corruption has given you fiendish resilience: each night you heal 1 HP, even if not resting (rest does nothing for you);
(c) your corruption has given you fiendish charisma: you have one additional, secret lynch vote each day, and you are tiebreaker.
Restriction: You cannot vote items for yourself.
Victory conditions: All 4 Regalia at hands of artifact thief: 3 Victory Points, ends game. Personally slay at least one paladin: 2 Victory Points. Never lose any fight: 1 Victory Point.
Cover role: INSERT HOLY WARRIOR ROLE HERE
1 victory point

Earthling
Spoiler :
Cult Leader
Faction: Himself (and potentially cult members).
Abilities: You can scan one player at night You will learn about his role and items carried (if any).
You can also pray to your master for enlightenment. Then, you will get info about any role (full description), path (full description of consequences) or item (full description) you choose. You can use this ability only three times, but it did not interfere with scanning someone and can be used at day or night.
You have 6 hit points.
You can send me secret vote for any purpose other than lynch. Both your normal and secret votes would be counted.
You start the game with the Coin of Corrupted Luck.
Restriction: None
Victory conditions: All 4 Regalia at hands of cult members: 3 Victory Points, ends game. Convert at least one player: 2 Victory Points. Survive until end of the game: 1 Victory Point.
Cover role: INSERT DISCIPLE ROLE HERE
Coin of Corrupted Luck (name for other characters who see it: coin of luck): if owner is going to be killed, he is left with 0 HP instead. Coin can save someone only once, and then its magic is gone (also it's secret atribute). Secret attribute: coin counts as cursed item (one of Regalia) for the purpose of scan results and cult recruitment. You can give it to anyone as a night action; he cannot refuse it. If someone become cult member because of being given this coin, its magic will be gone.
Balzebuul cult (devil worshippers):
Any non-scum character having 3 regalia will become member of cult. Also, no-scum character having 2 regalia and using them 2 times in a row will become member of cult. Also, no-scum character having 2 regalia and breaking his code of conduct will become member of cult. Character with 2 regalia can be also recruited by cult leader by giving him coin of corruped luck. At the moment of becoming cult member, due to unavoidable internal conflict, character drops some Regalia (he is left with only one of them). Cult members know each other (shared qt).

Resting is more effective on you; you get 2 HP from resting.
You start game with Crown of Madness

Victory conditions: All 4 Regalia at hands of mafia members: 3 Victory Points, ends game.

Use your ability to detect person attacking you at night: 1 Victory Point.
Mafia qt: http://www.quicktopic.com/50/H/NvHBWRMmyDB

Crown of Madness. You can use this crown during night and send someone maddening nightmare. This person would be convinced about one of following things: that he was attacked (it will be NOT described in the thread), that he has seen some kind of monster, that character who he was scanning is some kind of monster, or something similar; he could also just get false results for using his abilities, if he uses any (I will decide about one of this effects). On following day, you must (should) act in one of this ways: (a) vote for at least 3 different persons during a day; (b) make a case against someone (at least few sentences showing why he is scummy; must be done during first half of day) and then, in the same post, say something like: anyway, I will vote for… (and there goes a name of player whom you did not accuse); (c) vote for yourself (during first half of day, and do not change your vote later), saying something like: it will be better for us all if I just die. If prophet or initiate uses Crown, he loses his ability for the rest of a game.

I think that the most important player in this game was Visorslash. Not only he almost achieved mafia victory after infiltrating town network, being protected and healed by town players. Also, by collecting a lot of items, he prevented any cult conversions (if he was town character, he would meet conversion requirements three times at least)

Woohoo basically getting killed day 1 yet still manage to achieve a draw. I'm proud of myself, because I literally did nothing.

Great game, Jarrema, I had a good time lurking the thread before and after I was dead.

I wish I would have had a chance to role-play more, but for that to happen I would have needed leaders in my order to do things =/

Oh well, very much enjoyed it, other than the fact that one of the people who won total victory jumped me for no good reason one of the last nights...

Oh well, very much enjoyed it, other than the fact that one of the people who won total victory jumped me for no good reason one of the last nights...
I think that it was partialy due to mafia trying to make you suspicious

Really surprised I wasn't metagamed after JoanK leaving both games at the same time as scum (with him saying he could still play if necessary). Anyway, I think the game was a bit unbalanced not only due to inactivity, but some of the roles, think town was a bit powerful (though the cult got screwed by myself). Autolycus did a good job of a poor situation, though I was forced to bus him fairly early. I did my best to buy us both some time, and got the scan and lynch off us. I also suspected (and told the confirmed townies) that earthling, ninja and auto were (in my opinion) scum and I managed to do quite well for our team. If it wasn't for that secret vote, the game would (hopefully) have been the mafias. Still, I think we did a pretty damn good job considering the situation, with no guarenteed night kill, other scum team not doing much (don't know what ninja was up to), lots of healers and protectors.

Anyway, I had fun fooling and killing you guys again, and I still had Bsmith and topsecret under my control until the end, so I'm pretty happy with that. Thanks for the game everyone, I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun.

Can't believe you bought the fact that I decided to not attack anyone the night Mat died. That was my all or nothing moment.

Earthling actually messaged me and told me he suspected you as scum.

If I had actually remembered about protecting Mat, your all-or-nothing would've really been nothing. :p My mistake.

Ninja was injurted early.
Earthling did not manage to convert anyone; there was a moment when he thought he is very close to victory, then one night changed everything.
Visor... was close to victory, I think. There were thing with Ninja's hidden vote, and also with topsecret missing this vote (and topsecret also had amulet of mental health, which enhanced his vote)

Role I have for mafia in my mind was to weaken a lot of characters and stop pilgrimage from travelling further. Therefore, their killing ability was not potent

Topsecret, the reason I attacked mat was because you said you were going to protect the camp. It wasn't a matter of you forgetting to protect mat. Jarrema, what were the mistakes you made that you mentioned in the Qts, and if you don't mind, what were the synergy powers for all the regalia?

I don't think the mafia had much wounding potential besides the corrupted paladin. I can understand the priest role (though that only gets one use then lynch/nightkill) and the doom sensate wasn't really useful (ofc Dreadnaught was inactive).

Would the crown ever had been worthwhile using? I never really saw the point of it.

I do not remember what mistake it was, I suppose it was about damage (I miscalculated some).

I thought that blackguard would be 'heavy hitter' and two others would attack wounded characters in order to wound them more. 1-2 HP attack could make a difference between character walking by himself, and a character in need of help.

Crown would be useful in connection with other items, and if you have some kind of plan (what story you would like town to believe in)

Synergies for having 2 items:
1. Vestment + Orb: One additional vote when using Vestment, you heal one HP per night automatically
2. Scepter + Orb: Half of HP lost by your target (rounded down, at least 1) is vile damage and cannot be healed in any way. Only works if attacked character voted for you last day
3. Vestment + Scepter: if character attacked by you votes for you following day, his vote would not count
4. Crown + Scepter: player attacked by you will suffer from your maddening nightmare ability if he survives
5. Crown + Orb: You can scan someone and learn what his role is
6. Crown + Vestment: You can manipulate vote of chosen player instead of getting anonymous vote: you PM me for whom this player’s vote would count. In description I will write something like “at last possible moment, Jarema changed his vote and voted for Pamara”. This player will suffer all consequences of changed vote (for example, if according to his role he cannot vote for someone who votes for him, but he does, he would be punished by good deities)
Additionally, character having any 3 regalia gets 1 less damage from all fights (to the minimum of 1 damage)

Synergies for having 3 items:
1. Crown, Vestment & Scepter: if player who voted for you attacks you at night, you deal him 1 point of damage and he suffers from maddening nightmare (only one player)
2. Crown, Vestment & Orb: player who’s vote you manipulated will suffer from maddening nightmare
3. Crown, Scepter & Orb: you automatically scan your attack target’s role. 2/3 of damage (rounded up) done to your target is vile (only if attacked character voted for you last day)
4. Vestment, Scepter & Orb: one of characters voting for you at the end of day will lose 2 HP; you can choose that player
Additionally, character having three of regalia:
1. If not evil already (mafia, cult or thief), he turns to cult. His victory condition changes for: having all four items. He is stripped of all class abilities. Description will show that it happened, and to member of what order
2. If evil and not cult member, he can summon demon at first night after acquiring third Regalia. Demon will drain 2 HP from its summoner, and then attack chosen target with great strength (dealing up to 5 HP of damage). Demon will refuse to attack someone carrying one of Regalia, or being member of Balzebuul Cult
If character having any of Regalia dies, then this item would be voted for other person. Character having any of these items can give them to other person during night if he wants.
Character having any of Regalia scans as evil.
Character that has two Regalia is surrounded with aura of evil for the rest of a game.

I cant find description of other items and their relations with Regalia

Topsecret, the reason I attacked mat was because you said you were going to protect the camp. It wasn't a matter of you forgetting to protect mat. Jarrema, what were the mistakes you made that you mentioned in the Qts, and if you don't mind, what were the synergy powers for all the regalia?

Anyway, you played a great game. I won't disagree with that. :)
