Homophobia associated with higher rates of psychoticism

Make up your mind - do opinions vary widely on the issues or not? I will grant you that the extremes on both sides are not pretty, but that they are merely extremes. Most Christians are not as bigoted as Kim Davis or Mike Huckabee or Ted Cruz or Rick Santorum.

I have made up my mind. You seem to have misread, or have some sort of comprehension problem.

What you consider to be bigoted is of your own perception.

Please elaborate on how the OP is "monolithically intolerant". It's a scientific paper, not some LGBT columnist writing an opinion piece. There's no partisanry at play here.

What definition of "bigoted" doesn't possibly include Kim Davis, Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz, and Rick Santorum?

If you call that science the education system has failed you.

Enjoy your intolerance while it lasts. Just remember that it's a one-way street and will eventually come back the other way. It's already starting to.

If you don't call that science you must be home schooled by someone who didn't understand the meaning of the word, or you didn't pay any attention while in school.

And I can't think of a single one-way street that comes back the other way. Do you have an example?

You need to pay closer attention to current events. Politically the West is moving hard right.

That is certainly true with the Republican Party presidential candidates. See the clown car thread for more details.

But if you think the 20% of the American population who are actually leftists is an issue, I'd suggest you don't go anywhere near Western Europe. This is particularly true with the countries that have hate speech laws.

You really need to keep up more with current events. Europe is shifting hard right also. The entire West is and mainly as a result of left wing failed policies and intolerance.

It's gonna be time to reap what you sowed, or pay the piper, which ever you prefer. This coming mess will be of the left's creation. They are imploding on themselves and political opinion has shifted against them. People will want revenge and they will get it. I'm not one of those people I just won't be doing anything to stop it.

What mental condition are fantasies of violent revenge against Those People carried out on your behalf correlated with?

If you do nothing about mass violence, you're condoning it.

To be honest, this crazy post reads to me as wanting to make a direct violent threat with a cowardly backstep from a personal involvement of violence so as to stay within CFC rules.

Nope. I'm not condoning it. I actually never said anything about violence, but I guess that is a real possibility with everything that's going on in the world. Will probably happen in some countries in Europe. Possibly North America.

I just recognize that there is going to be the repercussions for the environment that the left has created. The left is even starting to fight itself. The chain of events is already in motion and I believe it's past the point of no return. I don't support you extremists now and I won't support you later when the majority turns on you. You labelled people like myself an enemy years ago, rather than be civil and work together to solve issues. You can fight your own battles.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Then what form will this mysterious revenge you prophecise take? What chain of events?

You feign knowing a lot and say little.

I love how fighting against bigotry is perceived as "intolerance" by those who try to rationalize and defend it.

It is as though George Orwell is writing a script which they gladly read.

I believe the ongoing debate is whether his work was prophetic... or instructional...

The revealed Churchian eschatology suggests a trial by fire, so perhaps a meteor swarm.

Political revenge mainly, but that can manifest itself in many forms. I'm not a psychic. I just know that Political revenge can range anywhere from light oppression to state endorsed violence. It will be different depending on the country and their own unique situations. It really all depends on how much the left will struggle to force the political pendulum further left before it's momentum brings it back to the right.

Politically society moves left-to-right and right-to-left over time and stays within the parameters of a common middle ground - that's the pendulum. The real problem is that the left has gone to such extreme lengths and has pulled that pendulum far left by forcing their will on the rest of society though various institutions, lobby groups, and executive fiat. The last 10 years have been quite undemocratic where the citizens haven't had much say in terms of policy making unless you belong to a "special group."

The pendulum is going to come back the other way and with much more momentum than it would have under normal circumstances, swinging it further right. That is unless countries manage to elect moderates, or center-right leaders, but looking at what is happening in some European countries and the kinds of protests they have having that doesn't look all that likely in a lot of cases. Then you throw war, or major economic problems (which is also a possibility) into the mix and you get a much worse situation.

As much as I'm inclined to agree with these words... other words like "sinner" and "heretic" come to mind.

Mhm, because everyone who doesn't agree with the gay activism we have now is religious? Lol. Ok. Keep telling yourself that.

This is real smart prophecising folks. No time scale, no actual outcomes referenced, no definite events or locations. It could come true at any time someone feels like it has! Maybe its been true already and we didn't notice.

I've a feeling this one is a 100 year prophecy than a 10 year one though.

I will never support anything that comes from that group again.
There goes the cure for cancer ... :deadhorse:

No, but there's quite the correlation between religious fanaticism and imposing on other people's wills. Some of those fanatics don't like being gay.
