Hotmail is blocking me download attached files!!!

ARGH¬! Bleedin' nanny-state is even affecting my email!?!

How can I turn the protection off so i can actually get my damn files!?

Yes it does. I've set it up before, and it works fine. Try setting it up as a mail source in wndows control panel.

Forward it to gmail, then use gmail's free pop3 access and d/l it that way.

Hotmail works fine through Outlook via either pop3 or datasync.

It's to protect n00bs against getting viruses.

Ask the person who sent it to zip it, it should go through.

Hotmail is highly annoying, if you ask me. I remember I switched to gmail because the new "Windows Live Email" wouldn't work on my Aptiva IBM, even with the one meant to be text-only. And I'd been using Hotmail since I was 8, and I switched when I was .... I believe 14.
