Hotseat Help

Hello, my friend is an avid CivRev player on the DS, and we have 4 hours at my house tomarrow and he wants to play Civilization 4 on Hotseat with me. However, I want to know that is the best way to introduce the game to him (he wants me to play a trial game, but I am pretty slow at that. ) especially the differences: he already knows the basics from Rev. Also, I want to know what is the best setting for 2-3 hours of hotseat? Thank you!

BTW the Multiplayer forum is sorta dead, and I didn't want to bump the other Hotseat unanswered threads.

If you want a short game, you'd be best playing on Quick with Small or Tiny maps. That would also make the turns and changes happen faster for a good way to show your friend the various things that need to be handled, while keeping the number of cities low, thereby minimizing the micromanagement. (My only experience playing hotseat is playing more than one civ myself now and then, that is to say I am both people - me vs myself vs a few AIs.)
