How am i doing?

ive been playing for a while yet this one is my first real challenge (despite it being on cheiftan)(im currently playing AoI on diety)
im spain on a huge map continets i got stuck on pennisual with russia to my south, i focused mainly inthe begining on expansion but was limited by russia, so after i got as many cities as i could i focused on my military an quickly became the most powerful early one despite my nations size. i got into a conflic with russia in the middle ages, they attacked and took my southern most city, i sent in waves of crusaders and retook it, i managed to take about 3 of their cities then i got england involved on my side we quickly grew a bond, they took two russia cities. russia negociated peace. i quickly advanced and when i discovered guns i attacked the dutch they were still in the stone age and had only 4 cities, i took them all, but it got me into a conflict with the vikings, rome and america got involved who were right next to them, they got most of the cities, but i managed to get the capital and vp location. i advanced rapidly then upgraded most of my units, when i discovered mass production i declared war on the byzantines who were still inthe stone age and on a small island. i got the Iroquois involved and they had a massive military. i got one of their cities(byzantine) then i realized my trade deal with america ran up and i lost oil, no one would trade with me, not even england, then i noticed oil by one of the byzantine cities but as soon i got near it the iroquois took it, thats were i am at. They are more advanced than me, because i had a long govt transition, recently.

Upgrade your units. You still have useless warriors and spearmen. Democracy doesn't have any free unit support so you're losing a lot of money on outdated units

You have no gold in treasury and you're making -81gpt even when both sliders are set to 0%

I see you're having some serious happiness problems. Democracy and war don't mix very well

You need more land units if you want to conquer Byzantine. Since they are on a small island far away from you I suggest you make peace with them and focus on your neighbors instead. War weariness is making your people unhappy

You don't have any oil. Either attack Russia or English city Magadan since they have oil

Stop clearing all that jungle in the south and build more mines near your core cities. Your capital is making 9 shields per turn which isn't impressive especially in modern times

You need more bombers and artillery

You haven't built many embassies and you don't have any spies

the english are my closest allies i would never attack them, so i may try at russia again.
