The AI can offer to cancel agreements anytime after 20 turns. I haven't figured out how to do likewise on my MacBook version. Is it possible, and if so, what is the trick? Thanks!!!:)

Hi, welcome. :wavey:

It's a long time since I played, but as far as I remember, you just go into the diplo screen for that leader, list your current deals, and cancel the one you want to end.

It may be a Mac thing. I can list the trades, but I can't figure out how to cancel one. The screen doesn't respond to my input. Thought maybe there is a "trick" to doing it. Thanks again.

I don't think it's specific to the Mac version. I just opened an old game and looked at it.

Select the Foreign Adviser screen (F4).
Click the leader with whom you wish to renegotiate.
Click "We would like to propose a deal"
At the bottom of the next screen are two links - "New" and "Active".
Click "Active" to see a list of your existing deals.
Deals that can be renegotiated will highlight in blue when you hover over them.
Click the one you want to renegotiate.
Your foreign adviser will ask if you are sure, and you say Yes. Done.
