I'm playing the world map with everyone in their historic position. Difficulty is between emperor and deity. It's nearly modern age now, and with 16 civs on the map, the tech is just flying.
Anyway the Iroquois and Aztecs only have a couple of cities left, so the Americans dominants the whole America, being the most powerful. I'm China. So America just have this big geographic advantage, it takes me or anybody else ages to get them. So even I drag other civs in the war, it won't do much. And due to the trade bonus and US's power, it's more likely they drag civs to war against me.
I don't really have the resource to have cities in America, so my aim is just cripple the Americans so keep myself in the tech lead. can anyone suggest how do I do it? Or just more generally, how do you cripple a powerful civ in a far away continent. Many thanks in advance.
