How do i install a new desktop?

well i have been to http://www.wincustomize.com/ after looking in awe at the desktop thread...

problem is after downloading the files.. i havn't a scooby-doo about where to place the files

anyone know?

Wrong forum. You could always create a personalised folder where you put all your downloaded desktop images.

Try searching for shell replacement. The default is Microsoft Explorer (not Microsoft Internet Explorer) and you can install alternatives such as Litestep or Darkstep. You can also customise Microsoft Explorer by changing the theme or skin.

You need 3rd party software like ThemeXP or WindowsBlinds. Then you can use those skins.
