How do I reinstall CIV?

So my game keeps crashing due to the patch. I want to reinstall. How do I do this on Steam? Also, should this make my game stop crashing arbitrarily?

We can start by taking a look at your dxdiag. Also, do you play the DX9 version or DX11?

I use DX11. Everytime I played the game pre-patch, it worked fine.

Try to verify your game integrity, that might help

Go to the game in the steam library

right click on properties

click on the local files tab, you will see your options there

verify files will check your files to see if they are ok and then attempt to repair

delete local content will delete the game

backup will backup the files to another folder

if you uninstall just click to play the game to reinstall

Please note that Steam will automatically patch Civ5 after reinstalling it, so the only thing a reinstall does is wasting your time.
