How do I remove EUI?

Hi,

I am new to the forum. I installed and finished a game with the mod and enjoyed the changes quite a bit.

However, I don't care for the EUI (too cluttered). How do I remove it? I deleted the original mod, ran the installer for the non-EUI version, cleared my cache and moduserdata folders, but I am still seeing the alternate UI. I even got the EUI when I bypassed activating any mods and loaded a vanilla save game. So, do I have to re-install the game entirely to remove this or is there another way?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

You have to delete this folder in your installation directory of your game: UI_bc1
Make sure to delete Cache and ModUserData afterwards.

You can find it here: common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC

You can also turn off (some) components you don't like in the UI options menu. For example, the units ribbon, the cities ribbon and the diplomacy ribbon can be disabled there. Although, the diplomacy ribbon toggle doesn't seem to work with the CP version of EUI (it does with the standalone version). Some components can also be removed manually, but can be difficult to sort out (e.g. the city screen enhancements).

Personally, I really like the extended plot-help text, tooltips and the easy to arrange build queue, but not much else. The ribbons in particular are highly informative, but really need some sort of semi-opaque background to avoid the visual clutter against the map graphics.

I'd recommend whoward's summary UI components, trade opportunities panel, diary and a few other items from pick n mix to go with the non-EUI version of CP/CBP.
