No rally point in CivIV I think...
It's not AOE...
Actually, there are rally points in Civ4. ( ) Select a city (or cities) then right-click on a tile to set a rally point. Right-click on the city tile itself to cancel a rally point.

Isn't it Shift + Right Click?

Anyway, I love the rally point system. Gearing up for war, Ctrl + Left Click on a city, Shift + Right Click on a border tile with an AI, and watch as all my purdy units form up for the big win.

(Ctrl + Left Click selects all your cities, so you can build one unit in all of them, or set one rally point for all of them)

Another helpful shortcut:

Alt+Click on building a unit = build the unit indefinately

How do you select a city? (And not, say, the units on top of it?)
Left-click its title bar - the one that has its name written on it and appears below the city tile. When you mouse over a city's title bar, it'll be hilighted white. You can additionally shift-left-click to select multiple cities. Note that while a city is selected in this way, it is possible to access and modify that city's production queue and its governor menu. (All this is in the manual, btw. ;) )

Remember if you set auto-promotion on, then rally point doesn't work...took me long to realise :)

You can also control-click a city's bar to select all cities on the same continent - handy for telling the all to queue up a tank and rally them all to the front at once if you have a big empire and are just wrapping things up for a domination win.

Oh God. I can't tell you how much this would help at larger maps. Like I would stop building units once I felt I had enough because managing all of them would take too much time.
