How do I use downloaded maps ?

I have TOT & I want to play the extended original game but dont know which directory to drop the map into nor do I know how to start the game !

Help ?

i don't know about ToT, but in every other version of civ2, you put the map into the main folder, the one that has the .exe file in it.:fish:

If its like Civ2 there should be a map folder.Put it in there.Make sure the map is labeled XXXX.mp
Then there must be something like "start on pre-made world"

I have TOT and when I want to play on the world map tetc you just click on pre made maps and thennavigate through the folders to get to the main TOT folder and there your maps should be.

Just for a note, it is possible to create a directory structure for your maps/games. I do this to keep games separate and easy to see what's going on. This helps a lot so I don't accidently save over an unrelated file, or accidently delete another game's files as I prune out the saves to make room on my HD. I uninstalled TOT, though, so i can't tell you the exact keystrokes. It looks like the prior posts cover it, though.
