Thats like saying you only higher people who DONT apply for the job those to me seem to me like they would be the best people for MODship cause they think they can actually do it and might enjoy it. ya gotta like what your doing.
Don't you need a new MOD to help in Site-Feedback or any other place that has only one MOD working in it

The best choice is the guy who wants it least, people that want it often only want the title (remember SC, VC? )

If you seriously want to help, you have to do things to help the site, and catch TF's eye that way.

I created a fuss and co-lead the campaign to split the Civ2 MP and PBEM forums, leading to the resurgence of Civ2MP.

I have helped out people in the Computer Talk and Civ2 Tech forums with their problems on several occasions.

I started a thread in OffTopic that lead to more people reading the Forum Rules

And I have excellent grammar!

Im trying and the best way for me to help that I've found would be to become a MOD.
OH so your basing all your future judments on one bad (debatable) choice that was made some time ago now thats Unfair.
I have been here long enough to know just about all the people here and who to watch out for and who to keep on a tighter leash. I knew how to get in to the Old MODS only thread without a password. (I won't tell anyone) and I know all the rules here. I have never done anything that constitutes a Banning and I don't try to spam.

VC should be a MOD, he has the better experience and only has 1000 post despite being here since 2000, so he's not a 1 line spam poster like some. Although this breaking into the Mod forum sound dubious.

My opinion is that the best person for modship is one who has to be dragged kicking and screaming into it, but once there, will do his best to be sure it's done right, if only so he can get time off for good behavior.

well it was a glitch with old forum but I am not telling anyone about how to do it but I could do it although posting in it was a completly different thing. seeing and reading it was what I could do.
so don't blame me cause I found a way to exploit a glitch in the forum. I was thinking of PMing someone about the problem but I figured I would be Banned just for mentining it

Yeah, the staff forum is open, its just hidden.

Hey, I've done that......see: Chat Op(although that was more for fun, but I got to see the staff forum so that was a nice perk)

And I don't know about the rest of the MODs. But I think being a mod is tedious work, you have to search for posts breaking the rules and then decide a punishment which will, without a doubt, get you *****ed at. No one likes punishment, or those who bring it. But don't think asking to be a mod disqualifies you, I pmed TF asking to become a MOD about 7 months ago, before I really KNEW CFC. It wasn't until PH retired that he suggested me and TF asked if I wanted it so I said yes.

So you respect Pellaken for wanting to be a mod? Some people like VC are unlikely to want the title of moderator but Pellaken was another person who just wanted the power. Now we all know that Floppa should be the next Mod.
