How do you break MMP's?

Currently I am 65 points under the lead Civ. the Aztecs. It's 1918. I'm about to acquire steel and I hold an entire continent. My problem is that I was just about to begin a conquest of the Aztecs to reduce there points when the remaining Civs in 2 turns made MMP's with each other! I don't want to bring the whole house down just the Aztecs and I need to start now because of the points. Does anyone have any ideas as to what to do to get the second parties out of the pact?

 :slay:

(Sorry, I've gone smiley mad...)

  1. Build your attack force (using combined arms, of course!)
  2. End any deals you have with the Aztecs
  3. MPP with the same folks
  4. Demand tribute from the Aztecs. Start reasonable, you may actually get them to give you something. Once that fails, keep repeating the same demand until he is furious with you.
  5. If he doesn't, declare war. Send a worker to the frontline, unprotected. He will eventually steal it. Once he does, he has committed an act of unwarranted aggression against your honorable nation, invoking the MPP's in your favor.
  6. Enjoy the carnage. [dance]

I recommend pumping $$$ to any weak neighbors, and unless you want the cities for some reason just sit back and make sure nobody gets a big edge. You may grab a couple cities and give them away to keep things even. Having the cities in a checkerboard fashion helps keep them busy fighting with themselves!

Cheers,
Shawn
