I hople I'm not alone in this thread. First of all, the plausibility of knowing the immediate activities of opponents in the Ancient and Medieval periods is shaky. Every time my opponents declare war, make an alliance, make a mutual protection pact, etc., my foreign advisor is right there to inform me. And inform me, and inform me, ad nauseum....(I started to hate to see him and that stupid gaping mouth face he makes). I don't give a toss about these things. He might as well tell me that my opponent "crapped his pants!":crazyeye:

How do I stop with the constant "popping" of the foreign advisor. I guess I could try to eliminate some checked boxes in the Advancements of the Editor. Anything else I could do?

I honestly have no idea. There could be a way but I doubt there is because it's programed in the game and I don't think you can change it.

Try to avoid embassies in the AI. I think embassy let you know whatever the AI is doing. If you do not have embassies the only messages you get is when somoene has built great wonder.

However, Embassies do have their uses...I like to be able to form alliances when I want to, and I like to see the AI diplomatic/trading status from the foreigh advisor screen.

You could possibly change some files to:

1. Show random, but hot girls as your FA.
2. Make them say phrases like 'Hello, handsome!'.

Use your imagination.

AFAIK there is no way to turn the FA off.

I especially hate when you have just signed an alliance with some one and then as soon as you hit enter he says "the blank have declared war on the blank" with this shocked look, wasn't he just in on the negotiation we just had for them to declare war?!? What an expletive deleted by poster !

There's a mod to have girl advisors in the mods section, you could switch to that.

A funny thing about the foreign advisor is that he usually used his "happy" face to tell you about diplomatic dealings inbetween AI civs; this incudes alliances against you.

Once, the domestic advisor had an angry look because a city was happy!
But I shouldn't say once. This happens all the time. That is what me me angry.

I don't know about the foreign adviser, I have never seen an unimportant popup from him. I do agree about the alliance though, when he tells you about a new alliance, and looks happy, and then reports a declaration of war looking like he just saw a certain shock site (you know).

I really hate the domestic adviser though, "We need at least 241 god to do that :gripe:"

OK! I get it, not enough money, don't give me that stupid angry face.

Now that I think of it, doesn't the foreign adviser wear a pineapple on his head for one of the ages? I really hate that.

I think all of them are disgusting over-emotional lunatics, I should try that hot girls patch.

I just ignore all of them; except for the Military Advisor.

And I notice the trade advisor has nothing to say other than, "We should acquire more resources and luxuries." I'VE ALREADY GOT ALL THE RESOURCES AND MOST LUXURIES!!! :splat:

Arg! I know exactly what you mean! Once you get 1 of each, she complains about having only one! If you have more than one of each she still complains! RAARGH! :aargh: She should make more of the useful comments, like which countries need what resources.

Build embassies! Not only do they make the civs friendlier against you they also open up for vital things like rop trading, alliances, investigating cities(vital?) and much more.

I still think that counts as blanking out swearing Marsden. :P muhahahah

They must tell you something! Once I saw the domestic advisor telling me: "Build more cities!": the biggest AI had 18 cities while I had 117!

These advisers are correct though. You should still try to get more, more, more, and more! :p

I think the Trade and Cultural advisors are wastes. The trade screen doesn't show nearly as much as it should, and the cultural one is just, well, not interesting. What's the point about getting sassed by two old ladies? And why is there a map on the cultural screen and not the foriegn screen?

Gotta catch them all.

And why is there a map on the cultural screen and not the foriegn screen?

Think its a matter of space, i like the faces on foreign alot. :p

THe cultural one is kinda uninteresting yea. But ive never stopped to watch whats there until now when someone picked it up. hehe :mischief:

I agree. :goodjob:
