How do you skip the beginning cutscene

they'll just be a black screen for 30 seconds or so instead of the movie. I prefer the black screen.

I'd prefer a mod that makes Baba Yetu the loading screen.

if it serves as a loading screen how come ti never instantly stops even after 30 seconds has passed?

in any case, a game should be loaded *before* the actual engine itself. like civ4. slow loading times is a serious pet peeve of mine.

There's an .ini file in the Civ 5 directory under My Documents, and there's a 'skipvideo = 0' entry in it (close to that, anyway). Change it to 1.

It's in the UserSettings.ini and its called 'SkipIntroVideo'.
