How is the development state after so many years?

I am curios, is this mod still being officially developed after so many years? Is the modteam still intact, or smaller meanwhile? Can we expect more patches? Is a wild timeframe guess for the next patch reasonable to ask?

I wonder, because the activity in the forum seems to be underwhelming meanwhile. Maybe because more experienced people discussed everything back when it was hot and new. Or everybody is busy playing.

The main mod is in Feature Lock, so there's not as much to discuss as there once was. If you're looking for a more active subsection, check out some of the mod-mods, like Orbis, Fall Further, or RifE. They have their respective sub-forums and expand the game significantly. On the main forum you'll mainly find people who are new to the main mod and complaints about various bugs/not-bugs that are being worked on.

Yes.

Is a wild timeframe guess for the next patch reasonable to ask?

Never. A guess would be worthless, anyway. The only way anyone could tell you when a patch is due is if they were released on a specific schedule, whether ready or not - which would be a terrible development plan for any piece of software. The only meaningful timeframe estimate for patch releases is "when it's done". Once one understands that, there's no need to even ask.

Or everybody is busy playing.

That is sort of the goal, right?
