Five get life over UK bomb plot

Five men have been jailed for life for a UK bomb plot linked to al-Qaeda that could have killed hundreds of people.
Intelligence, Capture, Trial, Sentence. It's a simple proceedure.

This is what makes me annoyed that we are wasting such money in Iraq when we could put that money into finding out who the real terrorists are, assuming that the mantra of "Muslim = Terrorist" is wrong, where they are, where their funds are and stopping them.

Although perhaps regestering the importance of Mohammad Sidique Khan could have been a good thing.

As much as this has been done right, it could have worked out better.

What make you think that your government is not doing both? And i would not think it is "wasting" such money but "appropriating" it to whatever departments to fight both battle domestic and abroad.

It is doing both. I'm simply of the view that war in Iraq is costing us far more in terms of cash, men and international reputation and that it would be a better idea to provide more funding our intelligence services which, although this may be UK propoganda/nationalism, are apparently amongst the best in the World.

I have to say, without a due degree of knowledge on British fundings, that your economy and access to cheap natural resources and other things can stabilize the funding of the Iraq war.International reputation, whether it is bad for many people in this world(the poor or radicalized middle class) is not seemingly the same compared to foreign leaders such as businessmen or governmental elites who do real impact on relations with Britain.
