On that note, how idiotic is a programing language that uses invisible characters as a part of its syntax? In my legitimately professional opinion utterly.
Well, every programming language I know does that. For example, "int a" is not the same as "inta" in C. Newlines also have syntactic meaning in a lot of languages.
In all seriousness, python syntax has advantages and disadvantages, as every other approach. It just takes a while to get used to it when coming from other languages.
Let's not start a holy war for/against Python in a thread about people liking the mod in 2019/2020 . Every coding language has its ups and downs.
I am happy to see that people are active. I also don't lose hope to see a similar mod in the new versions of CIv. However it's either me getting old, or the modding now looks like too much work with the changes to modding they introduced. I got burned out when I tried to make a building graphic and it looked 3 times harder than in Civ4.
