How quickly do barbarian cities grow?

Yes, and I'm pretty sure that they get a discount too on it, if its raging.

Willem, I'm pretty sure the Barbs don't need to research to get Rifleman tech, I think they get it when average tech hits a certain point for the whole world.

Funny moment. Last night I destroyed a barb missionary.
Yup, they had captured a holy city, and were spreading its faith.

Good AI!

I have seen barbarian infantry and SAM infantry before...waiting for my first barb tank, or barb Stealth Bomber.

It was off in the new world, and nobody really got around to taking it over, mainly because it was pretty heavily garrisoned...it was a serious capital city, size 15, with farms, buildings, plantations, mines...a little mini civ.

A question:

Are all barbarians part of a single civ or are they separate little civs. For example, does a barb city have its own economy or does it get the combined science rate from all barb cities that currently exist?

I believe they're all family. Distant cousins, I believe... kind of like hillbillies or rednecks.

A barb city contributes to the barb nation, and has trade routes with other barb cities.

That said though, each one is independant. They're like city-states that tend to work together against a common enemy.
