I have found that the best way to communicate is to use MSN audio.Use a headset,they're cheap to buy and stops voice feedback.If the game crashes for any reason,players still have contact and can explain any problems.Better still have more backup communications using AIM and/or ICQ.This sounds like belt and braces overkill but I recently had the game crash whilst playing I.P. and lost MSN to boot.Untill i got MSN up and running I couldn't inform my oponent of my problems.
