Here is a thought for your WB test run: How many bears does it take to defeat a modern armour?
I don't know...how many?? What's the punchline??

Ive used worldbuilder on occasion to make sure im not getting totaly hosed on a start, just to look around btw. There have been a few games though where ive declared it to be officaly over and had some fun after that with the builder. 100 nuke on their last city, all launched at once. :scan:

So if I read that correctly, 16 bears eventually defeated a modern armour. Hehe, excellent, time to train my legions of fierce bear armies, and go take over the world.

[Note: Of course, they will be specially trained to go inside those silly cultural borders, and learn to attack cities.]

Unfortunately, you did not read that correctly. That is a Combat Log. It details every blow in a single combat. Thus, a single Bear hit the Modern Armor sixteen consecutive times and destroyed it.

A glitch, perhaps?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that goes psycho with the world builder once I get bored.
gotta try that thing with the bears though....

If Alexander had not "cheated" by cutting the Gordian knot he would not lived long enough to conquer "the world". Come to think of it, if his army had been moving on Civ 4"s time scale he could never have marched out of Anatolia before dying of old age.

whats is the point of cheating.

Well, in a mullti player game or against a human, you ask a good question, there is no point in cheating then. But in the single player game against the compo it is great fun. I always have a game running that I cheat like a bastard, and the game lasts for months, even years(but usually not years since I buy the newest civ game.) But in that game I cheat and act like god and even help out some AI civs at times also by cheating. It's your personal preference whether you want to cheat or not. Whatever make the game fun for you. Just so long as you don't cheat during multiplayer games against humans. That goes for all games.

But to cheat, yes, use world builder. I haven't found on world builder where you can add money to a civ, but there is a cheat code you can activate that gives you 1000 gold everytime you press 'Shift 4'. You have to activate a code by changing a civ .ini file and you add the word 'chipotle' by using the text editor. I'm an idiot when it comes to doing these things, but it was very easy even for me. Do a search on these forums using the word 'chipotle'. You should find a thread that talks you through how to do it. If you can't find it, let me know I'll try to find it.

ok, I did a search for it. You'll find all the info about the great chipotle cheat code and your civ will thank you with mounds of gold:

That, ladies and gentlemen, is an EXCELLENT screenshot! :goodjob:  :)

ill cheat once n while. ill open worldbuilder n look at the map at the beinging of the game and decide how and where i want to expand.

And then.. if a barb kills a worker or settler and i have nobody near him to take revenge... ill.. take revenge.

In the Fall From Heaven mod, you can capture animals and they become your units. They'll get XPs for winning combat. However, they never get promotions.
