Doing this for my church. Right now we have one wireless network in the main area and one down the hall in the Children's Ministry Area. We want both to use the same network. Basically I want the router in the Children's area to point to the one in the main area, how do I get one router to point to the other, do I just point the DHCP at the gateway of the first router and does this expand the range of the original signal?

Easiest way is to set router #2 to "Access Point" mode. Most routers have an option equivalent to "access point only" which will automatically route requests to the other router. You'd want to connect from router #1s LAN port to router #2s WAN port. Set #2 to AP mode and off you go.

We use three in my house. Our house is long and has several thick adobe walls that block wifi. We have one router at the end where the wifi comes in from comcast (at one end of the house); a second access point half way through the house that picks up the first signal. The access point then broadcasts to the third device at the other end of the house. Moving from one end of the house to the other will force a change from wifi signal 1 to wifi signal 2 on your device. It works very well.
