How to make the best use of my starting position?

Since this is vanilla, this city site would be an excellent GP Farm. Saladin's philosophical trait mixed with the national epic would be a monster.

I've been playing the map for a while now and indeed, making a GP farm out of this simply isn't funny anymore. I'm generating GP's very fast and they just keep on coming
Right now I'm having a giant tech lead and can start building Cavalry while the AI is still enjoying himself with Axemen and the occasional swordsman.

Next game I'm gonna go for cottage spamming and see how this one works out

If you're really owning this game, like with a huge lead over the next AI, you may get more out of the next one if you increase the difficulty a bit.

I think I'll do that, I started at chieftain level but that really is easy. Is is possible to make the step from chieftain to noble without to much problems? Looks like I'll be trying that.

I don't know! It depends on how good you are at Civ, but if you played previous iterations of the game, then you know the basic idea, and Noble shouldn't be too hard. If it is, switch back to Warlord next time!

Noble is the "middle" level, no bonus no handicap.
Play this level as soon as you get a good understanding of the game mechanics.
